Twelve places. Twelve hours. Each landscape held at the moment when time changes what the place is allowed to become.

Please No Touching(?)

Soft objects with boundaries. Work made to intensify the instinct it refuses.

The Artist

Working across oil painting and textile sculpture, Evan Ramsey makes work that asks something of the body — to step inside, to lean closer, to resist. The two practices are distinct in material and register, but share a preoccupation with threshold: the moment before a place becomes memory, the surface that refuses to be merely looked at.
